La Tranquera Selection Especial 500g

La Tranquera is an Argentinian plantation from the south of the Misiones province, near the city of Obera (the capital of niche yerbs). It conducts selected harvests and cares about the final quality of the product, e.g. by using a 3-layer packaging for Yerba Mate.

La Tranquera Seleccion Especial is a selected version that has an even more harmonious taste and a balanced balance between the intensity and mildness of the infusion, making this yerba perfect for more delicate palates and for a quiet afternoon sipping.

The drought is medium cut with quite large sticks and a small amount of dust.

Smell: very subtle, woody-vegetal. It brings to mind the aroma of seasoned wood in a mountain hut.

The taste is very harmonious, balanced and interesting. It's hard to talk about notes that stand out in the foreground, because modest acidity, wafer bitterness and a bit of saltiness intertwine efficiently and none of them lags behind. The finish is wafer-vegetable, quite smooth with a hint of astringency on the palate, sometimes reminiscent of the taste of good matcha. With subsequent flooding, the saltiness begins to take the lead, giving a unique taste experience. The whole is quite mild, but definitely not devoid of character.
