Natural anise oil is obtained from the ripe fruit of anise. Anise oil is used as a digestive and carminative product. It also reduces the tension of smooth muscles, thus preventing bloating. Anise oil is used in antitussive mixtures. The oil irritates the bronchial mucosa, increases the secretion of mucus, liquefies the secretion, thus perfectly clears the airways. It is also a mild aphrodisiac gently stimulating.
